Its NYE

Happy New Years Eve! I think this is the first year that I am not making a resolution for myself. I had a very busy yet productive year this last year and am happy where I am at. Expecting a bundle of joy this next summer, a possible move or deployment this spring, and who knows what else God or the army has planned for us=) No matter what happens I know we got this!!!

We spent the night at The Furman's playing games! This girl dominated some Catch Phrase...as always *woot woot* =) I knew that it would be tough for J and myself to make it to midnight so we partied hard with good food and good friends early and then made our way home around 9. J passed out shortly after, while I managed to make it until midnight and about 10 minutes after, lol.

I hope your night was amazing and you were able to spend it with the ones you love! If you have a resolution, go kick some ass and know that 2013 is your year. If you don't, go live it like there's no tomorrow!!!!

Happy New Year

Well, obviously I am super behind in keeping you all up to date on the lives of the Malone Family lately. We have had a lot on our plate that have kept us quiet and away from posting online. Besides the move we have hidden another secret from our friends.
We are pregnant=)
I found out pretty early out in October, but wanted to wait until we were out of the first trimester to announce. If you ran into me out and about there was definitely no way of hiding this baby bump, so its been public without going public=) We are beyond excited and Jackson is constantly rubbing the belly and kissing the baby. It's pretty adorable! Our due date is July 15th, 2013 and we are hoping to find out what Baby M is around Valentine's Day.

Despite the wonderful news we wanted to share shortly after Christmas, my heart was broken to find out that a wonderful friend and beautiful soul was taken from us on Christmas night while she slept. My friend Erica Mount kissed her family goodnight after spending a great Christmas with her family, to not wake up the next morning. Learning this news broke my heart. I can't imagine what her family is going through and when trying to even put myself or family in that position I am immediately brought to tears. Erica you were loved immensely and will never be forgotten. Going to miss your smartass comments yet caring responses to everyday goings on in my life<3

We ended the year on a sad, and yet positive note. We have so many plans in the making for 2013 I know that no matter what path we end up on we will have many stories to tell of our adventures<3 Goodbye 2012, its been real!!!

It's Christmas!!!!

Merry Christmas Everyone! I hope yours was as wonderful as ours. No, we didn't go home to spend it with our family but we were able to see everyone via Skype throughout the day numerous times! (LOVE technology!!!!). Santa came and blew Jackson's mind with the train table and racing cars. Then the festivities of opening presents came. It was definitely an all day task with a toddler. We had to take breaks and open and play with everything. It made the day so fun=)
We were able to pull off a great surprise for Aaron's family with the help of Aundrea. We sent and envelope with the message "Santa says you can take a peek, but do not open until July 15th" with a picture of my belly with a ribbon wrapped around it. They opened it in front of everyone while we watched on Skype. It was fun watching the gears turn thinking of what it meant. Lol!

We finally finished presents and ended the day with our Traditional yet Non Traditional Christmas dinner of Chinese Take-out...that was delicious! Then we went Robinson style and went to see our Christmas movie with my family. We saw Monster's Inc in 3D at the same time. LOVE this tradition! It was an amazing day and we were very blessed, even being so far away from loved ones. It felt like they were right there with us all day<3

5th Group Christmas Party

Jackson didn't have the same reaction to Santa as he did the year before, but it was close. Notice the look of panic on his face?! He saw that Santa's hand was on Mama's shoulder and Super close to him=) After getting off of his lap he was given candy and was able to give Santa a hi-five for it! After seeing Santa we enjoyed some cupcakes which stained everything, so we ate it sans shirt. The cake was definitely enjoyed!! All in all it was a great get together with some good friends!

An Attempt Was Made...

Every year for Christmas we enjoy my Great Grandma's Christmas Candy (Scotcheroos to some). They are a holiday must in our house. After my accident (10 years ago) that ended with 2nd degree burns on my hand I have refused to make it and rely on my Mom to get my fix for this tasty treat. Well, we aren't spending the holidays together so I had to attempt to make these amazing pieces of heaven myself. I was beyond nervous! Why you ask when I am constantly baking and melting chocolate for goodies, I have no idea. I guess a little ptsd from the incident=)

I'm happy to report that despite an almost tragic bumping of the double boiler and spilling onto my feet, the end results were perfect!!! Christmas can officially happen in the Malone House=)

Quick Catch-Up

I swear the month of November and December have been a blur for us. Not a lot has happened, but what has happened has been a big. We learned over the past couple months that we would have to be moving some time shortly due to a financial situation with our landlords. We were hoping to move at the end of our lease in March, but after learning certain facts it needed to happen sooner than later.
Without having the money to put down for a new house deposit as well as a pet deposit, we decided to look into On-Post Housing. Usually there is a 2-3+ month wait list (at least) and we figured the sooner we got on the list the better. Just in case! Well, to our surprise there was a 0-30 day wait and we got an offer on a house as soon as we got our paperwork it. God is definitely good and is watching over us!
We accepted the offer and started silently planning a move. The stress of getting everything planned and done as quickly as possible was ridiculous!!! Thankfully we have some amazing neighbors who helped us out with extra hands to make loads as well as a truck and trailer to borrow. With a great push the first night and then a Huge push with the help of soldiers in Aaron's unit we got most of the house moved in 3 days. I couldn't believe the amount of helped offered to us. I was pretty much useless in helping trying to load up boxes and keep Jackson distracted and happy at the same time. Ah, the joys of having a toddler=)
Anyway, it is the now the week before Christmas and I am slowly unpacking the last of the boxes (about 10 left). It's starting to look like home, but after 4 years in another house in the same "town" it's not quite feeling like it just yet. Soon though...I hope!!

New Adventures

Jackson and I  ran some errands today and ended up close to the Clarksville Public Library. I know its shocking to hear that we have never been there before, but you have to understand that it is FAR away from where we live. I have to admit that I fell in love with their children's "room" which is about half of the library  building itself. We managed to catch half of the toddlers program and then all of the all ages program. Jackson had a blast!! Knowing that we can get some new books and catch two hours of fun songs and stories it just might make the drive worth it! I took these pictures of Jackson during the goodbye song. He was dancing while the other kids were singing. Ooh, and I couldn't get him out of Batman Jammies for the life of me!!
