Jensen's Groove

Today we drove to Blackfoot with Nana and Papa to go swimming and have a bbq picnic at Jensen's Groove. We had a blast!! After swimming we set up Papa's portable grilled and cooked up some hotdogs and pork and beans. Everything tasted so delicious. We were going to have some potato salad, but Nana decided to bring a huge tube of butter instead...lol!! Of course there is a story behind that, but I like to just think that Nana messed up and die from laughter;)

Patriotic Little Boy

We decorated Nana and Papa's house for the 4th of July and Jackson had a blast with the flags. I can't honestly tell you how long they stayed in the garden before he pulled them out=)

Lala and Devin

One of my favorite things about being home is being able to spend time with my best friend Nicole and my godkids Chyla and Devin. (Jackson has dubbed Chyla as his Lala). We met up with the Gilliam/White Clan at the park and had a picnic and played on the toys. It was so much fun watching Jackson run with the big kids and Lala play Mother Hen and help Jackson up the stairs and down the slides.

Happy Father's Day!!

Happy Father's Day to all of the Daddies out there!!! We celebrated with Papa by surprising him with an awesome super hero balloon and card and made sure Aaron had a couple surprises to open (even though he is overseas) =) We are so blessed to have such amazing men and fathers in our lives. They are all such positive influences and roll models my son.

We went to the pool

While Papa threw horseshoes J and I went to Ross Park Swimming Pool. I haven't been there in years! The place has completely changed and come a Long way from what it once was. Jackson had a blast, as he always does in water=)

Concert on the Quad

Every summer ISU holds a concert series on their Quad. This is an alcohol free event that you can bring chairs, blankets, and food to while listening to two bands. It's so nice to go somewhere with J that he can run and dance like the crazy toddler he is and not have to worry about the craziness that alcohol brings to events like this! We had a blast. His favorite band was The Clumsy Lovers. An Irish Folk Band...you can tell that it runs deep for him=)

Of All Things

He found a cowbell in Nana's Car!!

Showin Papa How It's Done

Jackson is quite the expert when it comes to making eggs in the morning for breakfast. He will pull his step stool over to the stove and want to help in the entire process. He knows you break-break first, then stir-stir, then you add Cheese!!! Whether the cheese makes it into the pan or his mouth is optional depending on his mood. This morning he showed Nana and Papa how Malones make eggs. It was too cute!!

Helping Vacuum

Yes we know its a lawn mower toy, but it works as a vacuum too;) Don't Judge!!

Back in the swing of things

Today was a great day! Jackson and I checked out the Baby and Me program at the library and had a blast!! Then we ran some errands followed by lunch in the park (again)!

After lunch we came home for nap time. About the time Jackson should have woken up there was a knock at the door and Nana Sheila, Chyla, and Devin were here to say hello and play! Jackson was more than happy to play with this cousins (my god-kids). They had an absolute blast splishing and splashing in the pool!

Papa's Pirate Pool

Errands

Today was our first weekday in Pocatello and we had some errands to run to see how we were going to spend out time this summer. We stopped off at the library to check out their reading programs for toddlers. Then we made our way to the Reel Theater for the summer movie passes, followed by a quick stop at Shopko for a booster chair. By this time Jackson was ready for some fun so we decided to check out Brooklyn's Playground. I had heard of all of the amazing fundraising that happened to make this fabulous playground happen and really wanted to see it for myself. Well, it definitely lived up to all of the rave reviews I had heard. To our good fortune we pulled up just in time for Lunch in the Park sponsored by the school district. This program offers a full lunch to kids 19 and under during the summer months. Its pretty amazing!!
We had such a fun-filled busy day, Jackson passed out in the car within 5 minutes!!
