Jackson has been popping up on his hands and knees rocking for the past two months. We have done everything in our power to motivate him to crawl and nothing worked. I knew he would crawl when he was ready and boy was I right. The day before Mother's Day my baby boy finally did it. I was SO excited and immediately grabbed my camera waiting for him to do it again. It wasn't so easy to get him to give me a repeat performance, but I was able to make it happen with the help of the movie Dodgeball...lol! Everyone tells you that as much as you want them to crawl, you will soon regret it because they get into everything. As of right now I am loving every moment of it. Aaron has had J crawl to him on skype, and I can't wait for him to actually be able to crawl to his Daddy!!

Let's Go To The Zoo
In the middle of wonderful desert that is Glendale Arizona is a World Wildlife Zoo and Aquarium. Seeing how I was raised in Pocatello, Idaho where a brown bear and some buffalo were considered main attractions, I was ALL over going!
Jackson had fun looking at all of the bright colors of the birds and fish; however, he was NOT a fan of the peacocks. They were everywhere and squawked/chirped at the most random times!! They scared J to tears every time...lol it was funny yet sad.
It was so hot that J passed out about halfway through the zoo portion. He managed to wake up for the aquarium which happened to be the only part of the zoo with a/c. He absolutely loved all of the shiny scales on the fish.
Its fun to see how much he's changed since the aquarium in Gatlinburg. He was definitely a Darla (Finding Nemo reference), we had to pull him back off of the glass a couple times.
We had a great day playing in the sun and seeing all of the animals! Thanks Aunt Heather for taking us on such a wonderful adventure!
We All Scream For Ice Cream
With Jackson getting older its really tempting to start giving him tastes of "our food". Me being the ice cream fan that I am I just had to give him a taste. To Heather's surprise, once a taste of this little piece of heaven is given...more is Demanded! I think Jackson ate about half of her Skinny Cow bar...lol!

Just eating some breakfast with my Daddy!
Heather didn't have the internet at her house so we walked to Denny's for breakfast in the mornings to talk to Daddy. I can honestly say that I was going through withdrawals from having internet at my finger tips. Hi...my name is Krys and I am Internet-aholic...((hi Krys))!! Aaron would be settling in for the night, but was/is always up for talking and seeing Jackson whenever we can make it happen. What's funny is that we were skyping during breakfast, in public place. People would walk by our table really slow to see what was going on, or asking Heather where Aaron was, etc. The questions were always followed by a loud "Ahhh!" So thankful that we could see Aaron as much as we did on this trip (about 3 breakfasts). Don't know what I would do if technology wasn't so amazing!
You say its ONLY 100 degrees outside?!
Let's Hit The Road
Last Monday Jackson and I were on our way to sunny Glendale, Arizona to see his godmother and one of my best friends Heather. This was the second time J would be on an airplane, but the first time I traveled with him on my own. Not gonna lie...I was stressin about every detail hoping it would go smoothly. I never realized how much you have to bring with you when you travel when you have kids. Good Lord, he brings more stuff than I do! Luckily, we flew Southwest and we were able to check 2 free bags so I didn't have to worry about paying $70 for luggage. I ended up walking through the airport with a small suitcase, diaper bag, stroller, and a Jackson. Thankfully, there were so many kind people along the way to help me with doors and picking up whatever toy J threw across the way!! Jackson was really good on the plane! He slept about halfway and then was awake, playing and talking to the lady in the seat next to us. She was a NeNe and had 14 grand kids of her own, so she had no problem with J leaning over and staring and trying to hit her book. We arrived safely in Phoenix to a very happy Heather!! We ate some lunch and did some shopping for groceries. Not much else the first day, we were pretty tired. Heather was very generous and gave up her bed to me and J while we were there. So nice of her, but not necessary...I was totally prepared to sleep on the couch and sack J out on a fuzzy blanket on the floor. The bed was both a good and bad situation. It was big and Jackson could sleep next to me, but it also allowed him to sleep Right Next To Me!! Ladies and Gentlemen we have a Bed Hog!!! I would put him down on the far corner of the bed snuggled up with blankets and some pillows to keep him from falling in the crack. By the time I got bed and started dozing he would be rolling over or smacking me with his hand. If he ever sleeps in our bed as a toddler we are definitely going to be waking up with some bumps and bruises from our wonderful son. They're going to be "Love Taps"...right?!?!

Time to Paint
A couple months ago I heard that Clarksville had an Artist for the Day kind of place and it made my entire day. Aaron and I never made it down there because its on the far end of town from us and kind of out of the way. So, I decided to post a girls day on the Boards that I am on and made a day of it! A group of about 15 ladies (and kids) went to lunch at Blackhorse and then made our way to The Pottery Room!! I was going to have Jackson stay with Memaw so I could be baby free, but it didn't work out that way. Surprisingly he was really good. He slept through lunch, woke up on our way to paint, ate and then fell asleep again! I picked out a bowl because I thought it would be easiest to paint with a Mr J in my arms. What do you think? I will post another picture of it after its been fired.
