What's in a pallet?!

When asked the question if I had ever built a pallet before, I quickly responded with a yes! Unfortunately what I thought was a pallet was incorrect. Working retail for over 10 years, I thought a pallet was the wood thing under stacks of merchandise found in store aisle. If that is what you were thinking you would be wrong as well. Thankfully I was informed by Nora and Jess. A pallet is a pile of pillows and blankets stacked up on the floor for you to lay on. Thank you God for FINALLY knowing the true meaning of a pallet...lol! Anyway, Jackson was eager to get started on creating his first pillow pallet on New Years Eve. He proceeded to pull every pillow we own out of the spare room closet and started stacking. This was the end result. Not too bad for his first time...right?!

Birthdays Part Deux

Even though we went out last night we had to do something fun to celebrate Jt's birthday on his actual birthday! We decided to stop by the Cupcakery (they don't seem to have these in Idaho yet).

After cupcakes we went bowling! I'm pretty impressive at Wii bowling, but real life bowling...not so much! To make it even more exciting was that it was Jackson and Kaison's first bowling experience. So much fun!!

A Duel Birthday Celebration

With Jess' birthday on the 28th and Jt's birthday on the 29th, we decided to do a duel celebration in Nashville! If the car ride down was any hint as to how the night was going to go, we were in for a GOOD time!!

We started the night at Margaritaville, where many...many beverages were consumed by all=)

After dinner we made our way to the Dueling Piano Bar! After going there for my birthday I knew it had to be a must visit when my family came up!!

We all had a blast. Jt had a great birthday buzz...and Jess, the rest of her night was VERY memorable. "We should get Wendy's, I have a gift card from my birthday!" and "You turn at the light across from the green fence with the horses." Lol, yeah you try to make sense of that one=)

Its time for ICE!

Every year Gaylord Opryland Resort has a holiday exhibit every year made out of over 2 million pounds of hand carved ice! The past couple years it was just wasn't in the cards to go to it, so with my family in town for Christmas I decided that it was a Must See!! The theme this year was Merry Madagascar. We had an amazing time. Definitely had to bundle up, but it was a blast. Everyone (except J) even went down the ice slide at the end!! What a great way to start the holiday!
