I just don't know what is going on with my little man, but he just can't kick the sickness going around. Last night he spiked a fever of 102.5 and after being up half the night getting it down, it spiked again to 103.6 this morning! After running the symptoms by the experts...aka Mom and her co-teacher Paul, I took him in with the pre diagnosis of an ear infection.
Jackson has never had one, but all signs seemed to point to it. I already had him on a rotating dose of ib profren and tylenol (its the main thing they do for infants/toddlers at Bach) and called his Pediatrician. Luckily they were able to fit us in with an afternoon appointment and we didn't have to trek to Bach. They took his temperature and I was both relieved and nervous when I saw it was 96.7. The medicine was working *yeah*, but I knew that as soon as it wore off the fever would spike again and was praying the Dr. took me seriously about it. (Its so sad that I have a fear of not being believed by a doctor because of the horrible treatment I have received from Bach.) After a quick check of the ears our suspicions were confirmed. J has an ear infection.
A quick trip to the pharmacy and we were home loaded with amoxicillin and more pain relievers.
I really hope that getting some antibiotics in his system will help flush whatever has been hanging around out.
Until then it will be snuggles and watching Cars with my baby!
